SWAR have been an unregistered unmonitored unaudited 'rescue' who over the last 3 years have proved their inadequacies in maintaining the welfare and sustaining health of animals in their care.
There have been numerous reports to Welfare Organisations and only then do they act and improve the animals condition. They have been unable to raise funds to sustain the rescue animals in their care, however have managed to sustain the welfare of their own horses.
The people who run the rescue are ignorant to their limitations and purchase ponies who are then loaned out, for a fee, as rescues, or keep them in fields full of ragwort with little hay and water. They refuse to admit that they have any problems with the animals condition and surroundings. At the moment they are being 'monitored' by the welfare orgainisations but these people refuse to admit they have problems or have done anything wrong so will continue to treat the animals they way they have been.
For these reasons they are not suitable to run a rescue and the only answer is for them to close.
