Closure of Bandon Hill's Kool Kids Pre & Post School Club

As a parent of 2 children who attend Kool Kids I was sadden and annoyed at the letter that arrived on 22nd October  from Bandon Hill notifying us that Kool Kids will be running till Christmas due to a ‘variety of reasons’ none of which have been disclosed to us and that Jancett will be taking over from the Spring term in January. Firstly my personal biggest issue with this is that the replacement after school club will be run by Jancett who have had extremely bad press in the national news with a local nursery to us having a man sentenced to voyeurism only this month.  Although I have every faith in Bandon Hill as an outstanding school to provide excellent care for children this will always play in my mind to the point will not allow my children to be cared for under the Jancett care. Secondly the fees have gone up a considerable amount, I have 2 children attending breakfast and after school club and with the new proposed fees this has gone up by 27% and they are asking for payment to be made in advance for every half term instead of the month in advance that we are used to, they are also not offering sibling discount.  With Christmas coming up I am sure I am not alone in thinking this will apply a lot of pressure to parents to come up with this cash up front.  With fees proposed to be paid half termly in advances, the June - July 2013 half term is 8 weeks long, so parents are faced with double the costs for this period. I have always been 100% happy with my children attending Kool Kids and the care they receive from the staff and would like this to continue. As parents we need to make a stand and I believe if enough of us are in support of keeping Kool Kids at Bandon Hill then we should do everything in our power to make Bandon Hill School listen.
