We, the Undersigned, propose that in lieu of raising gasoline taxes and/or imposing a so-called "sin tax" on alcohol and tobacco, the State of Connecticut erect toll booths for incoming vehicles on both ends of Interstate 95, the Connecticut/Massachuesetts state line on Interstate 91, and both state lines on Interstate 84. With as little as $1 per vehicle, incoming, to Connecticut, the burden of funding roadway improvements will be on the shoulders of the countless visitors who now run rampant on our highways for free, while visiting our casinos, shoreline, and attractions.
