Correct your nonsense, PADI

The system of education followed by PADI is based on International Integrity which means that the PADI System of diver education assures that PADI professionals worldwide deliver PADI courses in a consistent and standardized manner, yet adapted to your unique needs and the requirements of your local diving environment.
However, when someone searches some of the PADIs databases, like the experiences database, with surprise one will see new countries!
In fact, the islands of AZORES and MADEIRA, which are integral part of Portugal since they were discovered a few centuries ago by the Portuguese, are treated as countries.
After some emails sent to PADI, I have received an answer from Mr. Simon Morgan, Director of Technical Services from PADI Worldwide. His explanation for this nonsense was this:
The change of breaking out the Azores was not made out of for disrespect or ignorance for any government.
It was done because consumers were having a hard time finding the islands when listed under Portugal as most people think of the location of Portugal and not the Islands that belong to it that are in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
So, following this line of taught, PADI should separate the islands of Hawaii from the USA, because they are located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and the Islands of Canarias should be separated fro Spain, and maybe Sicily from Italy.
If PADI wants to compensate the lack of geopolitical education of some of their consumers then the way of doing things should be to correct the website like this:
Azores Islands, Portugal and Madeira Islands, Portugal
This petition is not only for Portuguese nationals because this nonsense could be happening with any other country and that is why it is written in English.
So, if PADI really is what it claims to be, the worlds largest and most respected diver training organization, will surely correct such a gross educational error and nonsense.
We, the undersigned, hope that this situation will be corrected by PADI immediately.
