Country Fido Roaming

To all Country Fido subscribers,

It has come to my attention that Country FIDO ($70 plan for unlimited local calling anywhere in Canada) subscribers will NOT be available to roam on the Rogers Wireless network after November 30th, 2004. A lot of us have been mis-lead by Fido customer service in regards to roaming availability on our plan, and we have been told that we WILL be able to roam on this plan for free until the $5 roaming charge begins on all plans. For those of you who have been mis-informed, either intentionally or unintentionally, please list your name and show your support for this petition.

Microcell, we hope you take this matter seriously, as we are on one of the highest rate plans, and we should be treated fairly, with word-of-mouth and promises that are kept. Some of us here have more than one line with FIDO, and some of us even have more than one line ON THIS $70 plan. It is wrong to mis-inform a customer, make the customer sign an agreement, and then not keep a promise. It might have not been the company's intention, but most of us have been told that we will have access to roaming on the Rogers Wireless network, hence we signed up for this plan. I suggest you take this matter into serious consideration, and perhaps allow Country Fido subscribers to roam on the Rogers network. If the company wishes to discontinue it, the company might want to consider allowing roaming to Country Fido subscribers who signed up before a certain date. Once again, due to the number of people affected, I suggest this matter be looked at thoroughly. Thank you.
