The new policy requires all monitored stations used for chart to consistently maintain a minimum current percentage of 60\% among their 30 most-played titles. This is an increase from 33\%.
The 30 songs can be
1.On the chart which corresponds with each individual week of airplay data.
2.Any new titles that have not yet appeared on the current chart.
3. Any album tracks from unreleased or current albums not more than two years old.
Also 18 of 147 current reporting stations are being dropped for not adapting to these standards.
We supporters of country music object to such repetition and believe this policy is not in the public interest.
