Craiglist Please Verify Gigs Ads

Actors - Are you extremely tired of applying for jobs in the TALENT GIGS section of craigslist - only to NEVER recieve ANY reply, or to be sent a reply email asking you to sign up to a so-called 'agency' site which requires a monthly subcription fee?

Parents - Been sending pictures of your kids out the "agencies" that never get back to you? hmm... where ARE those pics going (PS_ I, as a parent NEVER send photos of my daughters out UNLESS the agency verifies who they are FIRST when I email or call them to get details)

Girls - are you tired of sending a photo to apply for a job in the ADULT GIGS, only to recieve a reply asking for 10 more - all of your pink bits? Are you tired of so called 'agencies ' and 'recruiters' telling you that you need to go thru an 'unpaid audition' with their 'male stars' before you land that "oh-so-promising $3000 adult film role"? (Advice - Top Pay for a non-contracted adult film is 1000-$1500 - if they are offering more be 99.9\% certain it's FAKE they just want to get laid)

Well, I for one am SICK TO DEATH of the 99\% CRAP ads which appear on craigslist GIGS every day. Granted, there are some legitimate ads - and I have found quite a number of good gigs over there years - but it is STILL 99\% BOGUS.

SO I had an idea:

Craigslist currently requires anyone posting in the SERVICES category - to sign up with a craigslist ACCOUNT which must be PHONE VERIFIED.Sure - there are ways to get around it - but for the most part it does a GOOD JOB at FILTERING OUT a lot of the GARBAGE that used to appear there.

THIS PETITION is to ask the admns at craigslist to implement EITHER: the same system - or a COMPARABLE SYSTEM which would achieve the following:

A: CUT BACK the number of bad ads from "pic collectors" spammers and pervs.
B: Help to provide more of a safety net to talent (though this is ultimate up to the talent to know whom they are meeting with BEFORE going to a gig)

Don't fall for the "This will stop good jobs being posted here - thats utter B/S - if an agency is good - they will be registered and licensed in their respective city and won't mind sharing their details with craigslist... THIS GOES FOR ADULT COMPANIES TOO - ALL LEGIT adult companies ARE REGISTERED / LICENSED - anything else is AMATEUR, usually a SCAM for some cheap guy to get laid and a POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUTATION
