We believe that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the State of Ohio that a holiday should be established to commemorate the anniversary of Ohio's admission to the union.
We respectfully ask Governor Ted Strickland and the Ohio General Assembly to create said holiday, which should be observed on, or near, March 1 throughout the state of Ohio each year.
