"I was brought up opposite the school pitch and played there all my life. My family are still there and playing on the grass. Leave it alone. Go and stick your skateboard park elsewhere. Don't want drug shelter either."

"Removing a football pitch that can be enjoyed by many and has multiple uses, and replacing it with a skate park that has a single use does not appear to improve the scope of activities in the community. I think the council should reconsider."
