Cyber Stadium Series: Base Wars

We hereby request that an updated version of the game Cyber Stadium Series: Base Wars be created by the appropriate party. Since Ultra Games, the company that produced Base Wars is no longer in existence, we assume the parent company, Konami Games would retain the rights. We do not petition that this game should be made available for any particular system, only that the game be produced. The game should remain true to its predecessor including:

>> The ability to control pitches in mid-flight
>> Combat in order to establish the result of a tag out
>> Cumulative damage to the players
>> Handicapping of players combat life proportional to the likelihood of an out in actual baseball
>> Similarly-styled music

However, the game should also include some updated features such as:

>> The ability to steal bases
>> Robot customization including purchase of additional abilities and/or weapons with currency earned via gameplay
>> Improved baserunning, including the ability to run back after advancing a base on the same play
>> Unlockable characters
>> Additional gameplay elements, including stadium hazards (which should be able to be turned off with an option)

Our true intent is to promote the production of this updated game, and the suggestions we have made above are just that. Signatures to this petition do not necessarily endorse our particular ideas for the game and signers are encouraged to add in comments with their ideas when they sign.
