We, the undersigned residents of Danforth, formally object to the Mailbox Replacement Program proposed by the Board of Directors. This proposed program, intended to install aluminum mailboxes on all of Danforths 338 properties (figure from www.danforth.org), would cost $275 per mailbox for a total community price of $92,950. These figures were not mentioned in the Mailbox Replacement Program informational letter sent to all Danforth residents dated February 28, 2005. We feel we should be able to effectively communicate our concern that $92,950 of residential funds could better serve the community by being applied to more appropriate residential issues. We do not want the Mailbox Replacement Program to be implemented nor do we want to face its resulting unnecessary fund depletion.
