Research has shown the many ecological disasters being caused by Genetic Engineering/Genetic Modification GE/GM on the environment, soil, animals and humans as the problems get carried up the chain of life.
As the research and experiments over the years has yet to show any benefit to the world or its inhabitants and we now have polluted water tables, sterile poisoned soil, super-resistant weeds from Round Up, sick animals and humans, why are we still carrying on with genetic engineering.
New Zealand has genetic engineering in progress both in plants and animals, with questionable ethical issues of inserting foreign genes into animals. It would be a huge achievement if NZ could be one of the countries refusing to allow Genetic Engineering/Genetic Modification on crops and animals and that New Zealand be declared GE/GM FREE
Please consider having the courage (despite USA pressures) of creating a GE/GM FREE haven for this beautiful country.
We pray that the Government of New Zealand declare New Zealand Genetic Engineering and Genetic Modification Free and enact legislation to achieve this goal
