Demanding the Resignation of Ralph Goodale

WHEREAS the majority of Citizens of Canada, through our elected Members of Parliament, have lost confidence in the ability of the Liberal minority Government to effectively and ethically manage the affairs of our nation; and

WHEREAS the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have announced a criminal investigation into Ralph Goodale, Finance Minister, and his department, over events leading up to the public announcement pertaining to income trust tax benefits. This investigation centres around the leak of information by a member(s) of his staff, which provided the means to financially benefit a very small minority of the population; and;

WHEREAS the Undersigned believe that moral, ethical and honest representation is essential to the survival of a true democracy. The role of a leader is to accept responsibility when something is found to be wrong.

THEREFORE, the undersigned formally request the Prime Minister of Canada demand the resignation of Ralph Goodale from his position as Minister of Finance, until such time as he and the office, for which he was responsible to oversee during the time in question, have been cleared by a thorough and unbiased investigation into these serious allegations of fraudulent behaviour.
