Do Not Ban Anime

Dear Readers,
I have read a petition that has stated that anime is corrupting the U.S. society and the children of today. I am here, writing this out and contradicting that assumption/statement. Anime is not corrupting our society but we are corrupting overselves. Our movies are now playing bits of nudeity and is listed under PG13. There are playboy magazines everywhere. The area in which I currently work at has pornography stands which anyone can buy and have access to. And to see many young men who are most likely under the age of 18 buying and looking at them. It is absurd. Japan is not at fault. We, the people and citizens of the US, are responsible for our own actions and thoughts. The pervertion of today in our country is based on our movies, books, stereotypical thoughts, and what others say seeing as human beings are the most gullible organisms alive.
After reading the unknown person's petition to ban anime, it has sounded as though the person is a bit racist. In her petition, she has called Japan the "dark land" and has said that "Anime is a dark scourge upon our beautiful nation, and we don't need this Japanese filth corrupting the hearts of the children." Clearly, she has not seen the world around and is living in a fairy tale of some kind. Everyone, there is pornography that is being exposed to kids. Our movies for instance, has bits of nudity and pronography. It's not just japanese anime. Such examples are that of the movie, THE MATRIX: RELOAD, pornography stands that are RIGHT NEXT to the newspaper stands and can be accessed by ANYONE. I have even seen a 10 year old boy PURCHASING a pornography newspaper from that stand.
Another thing to state. Our nation (US) is not as beautiful as she thinks she sees. Our nation is full of poverty, pervertion, prostitution, and injustice. This is not because of anime. This all started long time ago when prostitution was legal and was an way of earning money but in a shameful way. That is how everything has started. It's not the "dark land of Japan"'s fault. It is our own. It's the PRODUCERS that make these exposures. It is the MEDIA that is telling and selling pornography. It is the STEREOTYPICAL THOUGHTS that has made this country corrupt. And again, it is OUR, THE NATION's, OWN fault for ALLOWING playboy to be spread and sold UNAUTHORIZED in streets. Places such as las Vegas has legal prostitution and has HUGE signs stating that there will be XXX shows LIVE. This is not from anime. It is from our own thoughts and what is exposed to us in OUR OWN NATION. So, please, do not ban anime. It's not their fault. It is our own.
Obviously, this person has clues of stereotypical thoughts in their petition. "Anime is a perverse, evil, insiduous form of animation from the dark land of Japan" That person want to ban ALL anime and assumes that ALL anime is evil and corrupted. Not all anime is corrupted. Some are even cute such as Hello Kitty and Pokemon. Not all anime has nudity and sex and forced romances. This person is only looking at the negative side of anime. Our own paintings made in the US and Europe has nudity. Even some of out famous arts and paintings from famous people such as Leonardo DiVinci has drew and painted nudity and put it onto display. We, OUR NATION, has even museums of these great arts, PROUDLY, hung up on walls.
In conclusion, anime is not evil, bad, or corrupted. There ARE warnings on these animes when it is needed such as our foods when they have warnings. Do not ban anime based on these stereotypcial thoughts of Japan being a darkened area and anime is the source of our nation's corruptions. It is our own fault that this has happened. Playboy, movies, media, and music. These are at our own fault and nobody's elses. We should not blame others for our own faults. Please, do not ban anime. It has done nothing wrong.
