Dozen Days for Veterans

Commercialism is a daily part of our lives. 24/7. We are fortunate to be able to live our lives without having to deal with the atrocities that many around the world experience daily. Thus we're a culturaly  diverse nation. A nation that affords people the opportunity to live a better life. Allows them a safe place to raise their children with the promise of a brighter future.

What we have, our freedoms and luxuries, is due to the sacrifice that thousands have made in this last century. Giving up their lives will not be forgotten.

Let us seize the dozen days between Halloween and Remembrance Day to embrace our past and current Veterans. Let's keep those holiday marketing tools away until we've done all we can to show our gratitude to those that have served and are serving their country.

There will be plenty of time between November the 12th and the end of the year for retailers to make their bottom line.

A dozen days. That's all we ask.

A dozen days for sharing, and caring.

A dozen days to show how much we truly appreciate their sacrifices.

After all, we are the luckiest people in the world, because we get to call Canada our Home.
