We must immediately begin drilling for oil in ANWR in Alaska, and the Gulf of Mexico.
Oil Prices, and subsequently gas prices have risen to intolerable levels. The reason for the price increase is rather simple; supply and demand, coupled with a healthy dose of speculative buying. Until such time as alternative fuels become available, we have no choice but to produce more oil. Families are hurting, businesses are hurting, everyone is now seeing the negative impact that high oil prices are having on the economy.
By signing this petition I hereby declare that I will vote for no politician, Republican, Democrat, or otherwise, who doesn't support an immediate fast track program of tapping this vast supply of oil.
