-The declaration of Drug Abuse as a national disaster will help promote the seriousness of the problem that the youth of Kenya are facing especially in the Coastal Region and Nairobi.
- The Government of Kenya should budget an amount that will help set up more Rehabilitation centers.
- Over 50,000 people are Injecting Drug Users (IDUs) in Kenya and over 40% of these are HIV positive therefore the Needle Exchange and Harm Reduction programmes to be made substantial so as to contain the infected numbers and to stop the increase of new cases of HIV infections amongst drug addicts.
- Drug Awareness campaigns to be done across the country from a lower level such as primary schools
