This is a call to all level headed and passionate football supporters. My beloved team, Dunfermline Athletic Football Club, installed a futuristic artificial playing surface at their home ground 2 years ago. This was part of, and still, ongoing Fifa experiment. This Week our counrties governing body for the top league (SPL) decided that DAFC should have to rip up this surface and replace it with natural grass. Immediatley!!! For a club that narrowly escaped administration just 18 months ago, to be told to do this at the cost of 500,000+ is a disgrace. If it has to be done, i ask surely the SPL can grant a 1 year grace period for the club to raise the needed funds?? answer, no! do it now with the start of the season less than 3 weeks away. Not only is this going to hit the club financialy, but it will also hit the local community as the pith was widely used by a number of sports teams for training etc. It could also hit scottish football as a whole as the current state of our national game is at breaking point and is in desperate need for youngsters to come through the ranks, which this artificial surface helped to do. I ask you to sign this petition and show your support not just for Dunfermline Athletic Football Club, but for all forward thinking clubs accross the world

The SFA is a joke, being a hearts fan i see it every week, but as a fan of football in general i think the SFA is a joke. The west coast bias is disgusting.
