eBay should not be allowed to sell tickets

Hello there, I'm a 16 year old female student, and there's nothing I love more than going to see my favourite bands on the weekends. Ever since I was about 12 my father would take me to local venues to see unsigned bands, and to me this was the start of something great. I never found I had the confidence or ability to play in a band myself, so I try to go to as many gigs as possible, even if I'm not too keen on the band!
The real reason I am writing to you is that I am aware of the increasing problem with ticket touts. On March 19th tickets for Reading festival went on sale and were sold out within the hour. A quick look on eBay will explain this very well. Starting now and continuing to the end of August (the date of Reading Festival) tickets for the event will always be on sale every single day. Thinking about it this is a lot of tickets going on the internet and being sold by money hungry ticket touts.
The reason I feel this is a problem is because it happens for so many gigs and events it's ridiculous! People don't stand much chance of getting a ticket for a gig now unless you are sat waiting for the clock to tick over to the time at which they go on sale. This is completely unfair, because those who would like to enjoy these events are forced to pay ticket touts an extortionate amount of money. The price for the ticket is set so that they are cheapest for everyone to enjoy the events, and allowing bands and venues to profit, not for hundreds of people to buy in bulk and sell on to make themselves a profit!
I feel that the only way that this problem can be solved is by not allowing eBay to sell tickets. I realise that touts will find other places to go, but eBay is the easiest way for them business. For example, tickets for Live Aid and the Princess Dianna Memorial Concert were on eBay within minutes of selling out, but they took the auctions off because it was 'disrespectful'. What about the bands who are losing fans who cannot afford to pay these ticket touts what they are asking? That's disrespectful, is it not?
