Electoral College Needs A Change

I believe that the electoral system is unfair and violates the minority populations' popular vote. When people vote in a state, not everyone votes for the same person, but that is how the state distributes its electoral votes. I propose that the states should split their electoral votes based on a proportionality method. This is fairer and counts everyone's vote, not just the majority. The current system we have is undemocratic, and the new proposed system could even allow for a third party. This proposal does not rid of the current electoral college, it keeps it in place while altering the states electoral vote distribution. Every person's vote should count!
