Na conquista do mundo o jogador poderб escolher uma de 18 naзхes, mas Portugal nгo foi incluнdo!
Nгo estou revoltado com a simples ausкncia de Portugal no mapa, mas sim com a grave irregularidade histуrica de Portugal nunca ter existido e do seu territуrio, englobado na Penнnsula Ibйrica pertencer а Monarquia espanhola. A inexistкncia de fronteiras й uma ofensa ao meu paнs! Desde 1143 que Portugal й um paнs independente.
Foi-nos retirado um protagonismo que mantivemos durante sйculos, tendo sido o povo portuguкs o mais aventureiro, e que fez de Portugal o paнs pioneiro na descoberta e conquista de novos continentes e na aculturaзгo de povos. Erradamente foram atribuнdas aos espanhуis essas descobertas e conquistas unicamente da nossa responsabilidade. Durante 2 sйculos fomos o POVO MAIS IMPORTANTE DO MUNDO!
Nуs, os portugueses contribuнmos para a evoluзгo da humanidade e do mundo com tantos factos histуricos como por exemplo:

- Em 1494 com o Tratado de Tordesilhas os portugueses e os espanhуis, dividiram o mundo em duas partes ficando assim a serem os donos do mundo.

- sйculo XV conquista de diversos territуrios em Africa

- 1418 descoberta da Madeira

- 1427 descoberta dos Aзores

- 1444 descoberta das Ilhas de Cabo Verde

- 1483 descobrimento do Rio Zaire, no Congo

- 1498 descoberta do caminho marнtimo para a Нndia, por Vasco da Gama

- 1500 descoberta do Brasil, por Pedro Бlvares Cabral

- 1501 descobrimento da Terra Nova (Canadб), por Gaspar Corte Real

- 1811 Os invasores franceses e espanhуis derrotados, retiram-se de Portugal, dando origem ao declнnio de Napoleгo Bonaparte.

- 1914/18 I Guerra Mundial. Portugal entra na guerra ao lado da Inglaterra


Eu acho que estes dados sгo pretexto suficiente para justificar a presenзa de Portugal no jogo!

MAS O PROBLEMA NГO Й ESSE!!! Й QUE AS PRODUTORAS DO JOGO DIZEM QUE NУS PERTENCEMOS AOS ESPANHУIS E QUE NUNCA EXISTIMOS!!

Isto revela que tanto a Microsoft Game Studios quanto a Big Huge Games nгo tкm conhecimentos histуrico-culturais, nem geogrбficos concretos, e que estгo a transmitir e a induzir os consumidores em erros histуricos graves!

After the installation of the strategy game Rise of Nations on my computer, I realized that my country, Portugal, was not included in the world map of the game.
While playing Conquer the World, the player is able to choose one of 18 the nations available, but Portugal was not included!
Im not only shocked and revolted with the simple absence of Portugal on the map, but with the serious historical irregularity of Portugal itself never existing as a territory, or worse, as being an integrated part of the Iberian Peninsula as belonging to the Spanish crown.
The denial of borders is an insult to my country! Portugal has been an independent country since 1143.
Our leading role in the world during centuries was taken away from us! The Portuguese people as adventurers, made Portugal the pioneer country in the discovery and conquest of new continents and in the modelling and merging of different cultures.
These discoveries and conquests , which the Portuguese were responsible for, were wrongly attributed to the Spanish. During 2 centuries we were the MOST IMPORTANT RACE/NATION OF THE WORLD!
We, the Portuguese contributed for the evolution of the world and humanity with several historical facts, as for example:
- 1494 with the Treaty of Tordesilhas the Portuguese and the Spanish were the world rulers when they decided to divide the world in two parts.

- XV century conquest of several African territories

- 1418 discovery of Madeira island

- 1427 discovery of the Azores islands

- 1444 discovery of Cabo Verde island

- 1483 discovery of Zaire river, Congo

- 1498 discovery of the route by sea to India, by Vasco da Gama

- 1500 discovery of Brasil, by Pedro Бlvares Cabral

- 1501 discovery of NewFounland (Canada), by Gaspar Corte Real

- 1811 The French invaders (helped by the Spanish) were defeated and had to retire from Portugal, giving origin to the decline of Napoleon Bonapartes empire.

- 1914/18 World War I. Portugal enters the war side by side with England



I consider these facts as enough proof to justify the presence of Portugal in this game!

But the problem doesnt resume to this! The Problem is THAT THE PRODUCERS Of THE GAME THINK THAT WE ARE A SPANISH COLONY or even worse: THAT WE NEVER EXISTED!

This reveals that Microsoft Game Studios and Big Huge Games dont have enough cultural knowledge when historical and geographical facts are in demand, and that they are transmitting and inducing customers in serious historical errors!
Im hoping for your understanding and that you will sign my petition that I will send directly to Microsoft Games Studios!
