Establish a Park Users Committee

If you believe like I do that Pontypool Park is a disgrace and is being poorly managed by Torfaen County Borough Council.

I ask you to sign this petition and support my demands for the immediate creation of a Pontypool Park Users Committee. The aim of the Pontypool Park Users Committee would be to provide the general pubic with a voice and direct involvement in the management and operations of the park. The local community could raise issues directly with the Committee, presenting ideas for events activities and highlight areas where things could be improved. The Committee would initiate a quality assurance programme for the park, allowing for direct feedback to the Pontypool Park Users Committee

The Committee would ideally consist of a member of the general public, a single Community and County Councillor, Ecologist, Coed Cymru Woodland Officer, Community Police Officer, Representative of Pontypool Park Estates and the Park Manager.

The meetings of the Committee would be held on a formal basis with minutes taken and agendas set, with meetings taking place within Pontypool Park itself on a six weekly basis
