Farrah Fawcett Eclipse

Farrah Fawcett passed away on June 25th, 2009, after a three year battle with cancer. Beginning her career in the 1970s as a model, Farrah made an immediate impact on popular culture with her flowing, feathered trademark hairdo, her beautiful smile and famous red swimsuit pin-up. Farrah became even more popular in the television series, Charlie's Angels, but Farrah did not want to be perpetually typecast as a "blonde bombshell." She wanted to be taken seriously as an actress. Farrah began to show her versatility and dramatic abilities by taking on roles that ranged from crime victims to a sociopathic killer.
This petition does not seek to blame anyone for the turn of events that led to Farrah Fawcett's passing being eclipsed by the sudden and shocking death of another celebrity, nor does this petition seek to blame anyone for the circumstances that led to Farrah being eclipsed by others at the 2010 Academy Award ceremonies.
This petition only seeks to rectify the situation by naming the June 26, 2010 lunar eclipse THE FARRAH FAWCETT ECLIPSE, because it would be a most appropriate and fitting tribute to a deserving woman who was a vibrant and talent force and a woman with grit and determination.
Please support this petition to the International Astronomical Union.
The June 26, 2010 lunar eclipse "will be visible after sunset from Australia, and eastern Asia. It will be seen before sunrise, setting over western North and South America." (Wikipedia: June 2010 lunar eclipse)
