WHEREAS:
- Long wait times in emergency rooms mean many Canadian residents do not receive health care where and when they most need it
- Severe shortage of medical practitioners and facilities due to shrinking government budgets
- The Canadian Health Act is being violated and the health system is becoming more costly and less equitable due to the increase of for-profit health care providers and Public-Private Partnership
THEREFORE:
WE, the undersigned hereby ask the Minister of Health to focus their effort on shortening wait times and improving performance in emergency departments by increasing funding and substantially recruiting more health care professionals (doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners)
