Fed Up With Pumpkin Pie Shipper Habits

After the sixteenth of July this year, the fierce battle between overly devoted Harry/Hermione and Ron/Hermione shippers was settled. "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" proved once and for all that a romantic relationship between Harry and Hermione was not going to happen at any point in the series. The interview conducted by the head webmasters of mugglenet.come and the-leaky-cauldron.org a few day later only proved the point further.

A negative reaction from H/Hrs was expected from everyone, but enough is enough. I don't ship either couple, (frankly, I think it's a stupid argument because the outcome was perfectly clear since book four) but the whole conclusion of this "war" is starting to get on EVERYONE'S nerves. I understand that the Harry/Hermione shippers are hurt, but I DON'T understand their need to clog every Potter website with their "worthy" explanations full of "valuable" and "telling" information. Therefore, the following statements are either requests from everyone who feels the way I do, or just things H/Hrs ought to know:

1. We do not wish to be "enlightened" by your lengthy and far-fetched theories on every forum in sight.

2. We do not wish to feel as though we are in "Boring and Irrelevant Mythological and Symbolic Facts 101" every single time that the romance in HBP happens to be mentioned.

3. No one wants to hear your rude, shameful, and biased comments about J.K. Rowling or her decision of which couple to write into the series.

4. Those of us who *don't* support or believe in the Harry/Hermione relationship do not wish to be patronized or insulted for our different views on what love is. Just because we believe that in order for two people to be in love, an iota of attraction must be between them, doesn't make us shallow.

5. Not one of us wants to see racial or religious discrimination, or any for of slavery because of either type of discrimination be compared to a stupid argument about a fictional romance. If any idiot believes that the two scenarios have *anything* in common, then there is really no wonder as to how the evidence of the H/Hr romance was found.

6. No one wants to see any H/Hr complain about being publicly called delusional, only to find that those H/Hrs are playing up to their reputation. If you are, indeed, consciously aware that you're delusional and make no effort to prove the contrary, then don't complain about the truth being revealed.

7. Any H/Hr put onto mugglenet.com's 'Wall of Shame', really should not be "shocked" or "outraged." It's very clear to see why it was created, and those who make it onto the Wall, should be more embarrassed than anything.

8. Those of us with an ounce of intelligence don't want to hear that we "support abortions in China" because we read Harry Potter or watch the movies. Before you make such a stupid statement, why don't you get your little head straight?

9. No one wants to be kindly treated to your over-analyzed and completely wrong explanations as to why Hermione's character was butchered. It wasn't.

10. Lastly, no one wants to hear that your interpretations of the books were right all along, and that you stand by your "evidence."

Keep it amongst yourselves and leave the rest of us alone. If you want to keep believing that Harry and Hermione will pursue a romatic relationship, then don't try to convice others, neither shippers nor neutral fans, of the same thing.
