FHS Student Body against the New Pass Policy

During the week of February 2nd, 2009, the FHS Student Body was informed of a few new policy changes that would be taking place around campus.
The first is that late buses would only show up on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is mostly due to the crappy economy, along with budget cuts. We'll skip over that one.
The second is a bit more... restricting, and is the main reason why this group has been created. All students, as of Monday, February 9, 2009, will be *required* to have a pass on their person any time they are outside of the classroom. This also, for some reason, applies to after school activities. The consequences are the same as if one had committed some sort of moderate offense: First is Saturday School, then a review by the respective grade administrator, then suspension.
Essentially, that is only three chances you have to have a pass. You could basically be suspended in one day, if it came to that. Does that really seem fair to you?
I didn't think so.
In addition to this, the administration didn't even bother to inform the teachers beforehand, let alone gauge their--or our--opinion. It essentially is about as useful as closing the middle bridge to "relieve congestion" in the hallways.
If this is their reaction to the after-school stabbing back in November or the idiot freshman lighting a trash can on fire, then they're either way too slow or blowing this thing way out of proportion. The actions of a few should not judge the many.

I see why we need passes during the day, but the need for passes after school is a little rediculous. Not to mention the need to severely punish someone and give them a Saturday School on their FIRST OFFENSE is totally unexcusable and incredibly over the

I beleve that the new rules held within the FHS campus should be changed not only about the manditory passes but also because the absence of afterschool bus. The absence of bus is simply an anoyence due to the bus still being avalable to those involved in

Having a pass for after school is unreasonable yet is understandable for during school. The punishments are harsh and are dumb for this situation.
