Final Fantasy VII Remake for Playstation 3

Facts:

On August 31st., 1997 Sony Computer Entertainment published a video game developed by Square Co., Ltd. called Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation video game console.

Upon release, the game received excellent reviews from most if not all of the video game magazines which reviewed it. Fans loved it.

Since release, Final Fantasy VII has sold more than 9.7 million copies worldwide, a third of them being in America alone; has been voted the second-favorite video game of all time by Famitsu magazine in 2005 and has been voted the best video game ever in 2004 and 2005 by users on http://www.gamefaqs.com .

On April 25th,. 2006 Square Enix released the sequel movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children in America.

Upon release, the movie received excellent reviews from most video game magazines and websites which reviewed it.

Since release, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children has sold more than 2.4 million copies worldwide, 1.3 million of them being in North America alone.

The above facts, we believe, establish that Final Fantasy VII has one of the largest fan bases of any video game ever released.

Eight years after it's release, we have begun to notice that the original game, unlike many older games, does not age well. This is do to many factors, some of which include the following:
The original English translation is broken in some aspects which makes some story elements confusing.
The in-game graphics, while incredible for their time, are now quite dated even when compared to later games on the same console.
The cut scene animation, while incredible for it's time, is now quite dated when compared to the newer animation in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus.

Every Final Fantasy game leading up to Final Fantasy VII has either been remade, as with Final Fantasy I, II and III or ported to a newer console, as with IV, V and VI yet none of them are as popular as VII.

What we humbly request with this petition is that a remake of Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation 3 video game console be made.
