In recent years, there has been a trend of increasing advertising in our society, whether it be on TV, radio, or while walking past a bus station. However, we can choose to avoid these by changing stations or simply walking past them.
This is just not so with commercials before movies. People are gathered in their seats, unable to tune out these ads, which they have definately not purchased tickets to see. This is obviously a ploy of the MPAA and theater associations to milk patrons for all they're worth.
We the undersigners are fed up with both increased ticket prices and the display of commercial advertisements before movies. We propose that either ticket prices are lowered to balance the increased revenue from advertisement sales, or these advertiesments are discontinued.
