Frampton became a legend when he released the worlds best selling live album "Frampton Comes Alive." Prior to this famed LP, his incredible solo work could be heard in vintage songs like "The Lodger," "Don't Fade Away," and "I Wanna Go To The Sun." The dimension of Frampton's talent is also evident in later efforts, like his self-titled disc "Peter Frampton." This release reflected an evolvement of style that incorporated new sounds with his original balladry.
Peter Frampton's influence on rock and roll is not limited to the recording studio. He develops guitars and high-end handmade accessories for musicians. He pioneered the first ever concert DVD in HDTV format and 5.2 surround sound ("Live in Detroit") and lent his experience as a rock and roll icon to the Cameron Crowe movie "Almost Famous." Frampton's influence is just beginning to get deserved recognition. In 2001, he received a Grammy nomination for "Best Rock Instrumental Performance" and received two awards from Gibson Guitar: "The Orville H. Gibson Lifetime Achievement Award" and "Best Guitar Performance of the Year." Now it is time for Peter Frampton to take his rightful seat in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
