A medical travesty is happening in Mississippi. A 32 year old female is being allowed to slowly starve to death. She's been given experimental meds that she has to get from New Zealand, and they are not FDA approved. There is a surgery that can help her. It's for a gastric pacemaker, and her digestive disease is gastroparesis. The only doctor in Mississippi that does this surgery refuses to help her due to lack of insurance or the money to cover the surgery. This woman has dropped from 116 pounds to 85 in less than 6 months. She literally can NOT eat, and even liquids are not staying down. She was released from the hospital when she could barely keep down clear liquids - with the help of IV anti nausea/vomiting meds. This surgery needs to be done to save her life.
