Senator Orrin Hatch on the CBS show "60 Minutes",Dec.24,2000, stated that the Mormons were the only people who ever had a proclamation of death put to them.
The United States and Canadian governments,FBI, police forces, agents, courts, attorneys and vigilantes are ALL guilty of: Murder,assault,theft,destruction of property,arson,perjury,falsification of testimonial and material evidence,illegal surveillance,kidnapping,rape,blackmail,fraud,jury tampering,obstruction of justice,conspiracy to commit all of the above crimes, cover-ups and every other form of meaness and depredation against Native Americans.
Why? Because for the Land. Hundreds of treaties were signed defining the Indian and white-man's lands....they were all broken! Native Americans were and are still forced to resist or perish.Native American resistance has always been labeled as hostility by the courts,but the "wholesale slaughter of Indians by settlers and their military people has always been labeled "Manifest Destiny" or "Law and Order".
There has been a long standing corporate war against Native Americans in this country. The Amax Mines,Peabody Coal Co.,Union Carbide Corp. and Exxon Corp.,they all dig unholy scars into Mother Earth. And tomorrow...who or what next? When will corporate america look for more than profits from Mother Earth?
There has and still is a genocide directed towards Native Americans but also a complete cultural extermination since the Europeans invaded this country.
Let's not forget the media's responsibilty in all of this either. They are also guilty of hypocrisy and corruption.
We believe that CBS and Senator Orrin Hatch need to give a public apology for the statements made on the "60 Minutes" show.
