Georgia Safe School Buses

For residents of Georgia Only please! We, the undersigned, support the need for changes in the current Georgia State School Bus Safety Policies and Procedures. The accident which claimed the life of five-year-old Aleana Johnson was preventable and we demand that these current policies and procedures be changed now. We want adult bus monitors on each and every school bus. We want school bus drivers to have quarterly training. We want ALL students to have training on school bus safety procedures and rules on a quarterly basis, with the first scheduled training session to be completed within the first week of the school year and additional training sessions following with each report card. We want school buses on a regular and consistent schedule, and in the event of a delay, parents are notified in a timely fashion.
