Petition to get EL TOPO and HOLY MOUNTAIN released!
Alejandro Jodorowskys two movies EL TOPO and HOLY MOUNTAIN are according to a lot of people two of the most original and avant-garde cult-movies of all time. Celebrated world wide and the interest is now towering for the movie, and the bootleg-releases success proves that.
For some reason though ex-Beatles producer Allen Klein and his company ABKCO have been refusing to release them for ages.
Klein has refused to sell the rights to them as well. There has not been any visible statements on why yet.
This is sad, because this means the movies arent viewed(despite the bootleg market), and Jodorowsky has on one occation himself even called it a cultural murder.
The other problem is that Jodorowsky isnt making any money on them either as they are not released, which is income he needs to finance his present projects.
El Topo 2: Sons Of El Topo for example which has been planned and financially troubled for many years now.
By many sources hes defined as being one of the great cinematic legends left that is still alive. Hes in his late 70s now and should get a chance to make another, if not even his last movie. By getting El Topo and Holy Mountain released he might get a chance to do this.
Rumors has it though that things are happing these days and Allen Klein and Alejandro Jodorowsky are negotiating again.
Sign this petition by showing your interest or even anger, frustration towards getting El Topo and Holy Mountain released therefore, and to put pressure on the state of affairs.

I never seen theses movies, but I would love too. From what I hear is that they are masterpeices, and that John Lennon loved El Topo, there are some films that are not on dvd, and that need to. El Topo is one of them. Think of all the money you would make
