The entertainer, Bruce Forsyth, has given more than 6 decades of outstanding contribution in Entertainment, and not forgetting his unstinting work for charity.
The support for his knighthood has included:
- A motion by 41 MPs in the House of Commons in February 2008.
- 2 previous petitions on the No.10 website (both now closed & no further No.10 petitions being allowed for Honours)
- Give Bruce Forsyth a Knighthood Group on the social networking site, Facebook, with many thousands of members.
At the time of writing this petition, January 2009, more than 25,000 have voted online in support of the knighthood of Mr Bruce Forsyth.
As the No 10 website no longer permits petitions in respect of any honours, we hereby petition the Prime Minister, and the Cabinet Office to give Bruce Forsyth a Knighthood in the next honours round. We know, like you do, that this lifetime recognition is well overdue.
