Dear Governor Corzine:
Today, we, your constituents from the great state of New Jersey, write you regarding the upcoming Presidential election in 2008. This election will, no doubt, be the most pivotal in America's history. It is now overwhelmingly clear that the war in Iraq was a terrible mistake. Yet the current administration in the face of mounting American casualties, increasing sectarian violence and the departure of key members of our Coalition of the Willing, stubbornly insists we prolong this fatal error. We need a President that will bring our troops home. The volume of vitriolic speech and rhetoric from both parties over this war and other contentious issues seems to have reached an all-time high. This partisan bickering has paralyzed our Congress at a time when action is desperately required. We need a President that will find common ground, bringing Democrats and Republicans together to work for the good our Nation. Greater and greater sums of money from political action committees and lobbyists are pouring into Washington, giving undue influence to powerful corporations and a select few special interest groups. We need a President that will create an honest, transparent government that answers citizens and not cash.
Governor Corzine, Senator Barack Obama is the leader we need. We ask that you endorse his candidacy for President of the United States of America. Senator Obama represents a new generation, one that is ready to diligently work towards fulfilling the vast potential of this great country. We hope you will join us.
