As a result of hearing the proposal of the English Football league to discuss the possibility of adjusting the current system of drawn games resulting in 1 point being awarded to each team, to having an additional bonus point/s on offer in way of a penalty shootout or other means, we would like to make it clear that we object strongly to these proposals. We believe such actions would destroy the great game and it's history! If it isn't broken don't fix it! - Football certainly isn't broken. Should actions be taken to indeed adjust the current system, we, the lovers of the beautiful game, are prepared to boycott games and the Football association and do whatever is necessary for the traditional setup to remain.

The finishing time of a match is important for many supporters who have family commitments,and transport away from the match.Policing of leage matches would be more complicated if the matches were prolonged.
