Harsher Punishments For Animal Abusers

Society seems to undermine the seriousness of animal abuse. These disgusting people are usually been given a mere fine or suspended sentence as opposed to a more serious punishment which would act as a better deterrent.

Basically, animal abuse (domestic, cattle or wild) should be treat as a serious crime and not just a mildly taboo act. These criminals should be punished severely for their terrible actions.
