_ CUT CLIMATE POLLUTION 25\% BELOW 1990 LEVELS BY 2020, in line with the scientific recommendations of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Cutting carbon emissions means improving energy efficiency and saving money that would otherwise be wasted on pricey fossil fuels. Smart climate policy will jumpstart the economy by getting us off of foreign oil and investing in our ailing energy infrastructure.

_ CREATE 5 MILLION GREEN JOBS AND PATHWAYS OUT OF POVERTY in a sweeping national mobilization of the American workforce. Fostering the development of high growth industries in clean energy is an opportunity we can't afford to miss. Green jobs are the beginning of a smarter, more efficient economy that creates green pathways out of poverty for the communities most in need of economic opportunity.
