Whereas the Federal, Provincial and Territorial Governments of Canada established a compensation plan for people infected with Hepatitis C through the blood system in Canada;
And Whereas this compensation plan was limited to people who were infected between 1986 and 1990;
And Whereas approximately 5,000 people who were infected with Hepaitis C before 1986 or after 1990 have been excluded from this compensation plan;
We, the undersigned, urge the Federal, Provincial and Territorial Governments of Canada to extend full, fair and equal compensation to everyone who contracted Hepatitis C from the blood system in Canada, regardless of the date of their infection.
