Hold Bill O'Reilly Responsible for Endorsement of US Terrorism

The Fox News on-air personality, Bill OReilly, has overstepped the bounds of what Americans consider is acceptable behavior and appropriate use of its public airwaves. While free speech is a core value for all Americans we also know as citizens that we have limits and a responsibility of staying within those limits in order to preserve this unique power. Calling for or validating permission to violently attack any person or place within our country because one does not agree with an opinion, as Mr. OReilly has recently done, is not an acceptable act for any person to do especially for those who hold public positions with the means of outreach that Mr. OReilly possesses. As a nation we cannot allow this type of behavior to be endorsed in our name. We the undersigned call for the resignation of Bill OReilly from Fox News and any affiliates that carry any of his programming. We also demand that he go to San Francisco and make a formal apology to the residents of this U.S. city. We believe that nothing short of these two basic actions will suffice in stressing the importance of social responsibility in a country as diverse as ours and in the preservation of such rights as free speech.
