Hollywood Records: Let Miley Release Her Singles

Dear Hollywood Records,Many artists have had albums altered or censored in some way by the record labels before they are released—songs being edited, artwork or titles being changed, etc. Most of time this happens because they believe that the album will sell better, or maybe fits better in a certainly image, if the changes are made.Art is about expressing of the artist, at the same time that society is about criticizing what they don’t agree with. Considering that we are living in the 21st century and that people have got build up some tolerance for things they don’t actually agree with, censure artists don’t make sense. People who don’t feel comfortable can always choose to watch, listen to something else. On top of that, we live in a democracy, and one of the most important thing in a democracy is the Freedom of Expression, that is defended in the Human Rights Act, Article 10:(1) Everyone has the right of freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without inference by public authority and regardless of frontiers. This Article shall not prevent States from requiring the licensing of broadcasting, television or cinema enterprises.Now back to the case, all Miley Cyrus has given to Hollywood Records was good, with that was meant money and recognition, winning innumerous awards and platinum albums. She even went to the Guinness Book!She made mistakes like another teenager, but you can see that she continue to have a legion of fans that would follow her everywhere, pay thousands of dollars to have a chance to meet her!No meter what happened, what you are doing is wrong, is dirty, you took advantages and now you refuse to let she release anything! You took advantages of an eleven years old girl with a big dream, and now, now that she is bigger than you expected, now that you see that she got personality, you want to hold her, you want to hold her dreams!Please, we understand that Miley had grown up, and even we don’t want the same Hannah Montana, innocent little girl, we have grown up too. We love her new songs, and her new style.
