Highland Springs is an extremely rugged and diverse 3200 acre property including a variety of different watersheds, ecosystems, and habitats, amazing wildflowers and native vegetation, abundant wildlife, and diverse geology. Currently there are approximately 28-30 miles of singletrack and some fireroad horseback and hiking trails at Highlands with a future horsecamp in the works, all maintained by Highland Springs Equestrians. A developing county-wide system may link this to trails around the entire County.

We support the goals and efforts of the Highland Springs Equestrians who have cleared and maintained 30 miles of trails at Highland Springs for over the past 10 years. We believe that trails that do not meet safe multi-use criteria should be horse and hiker only. We would travel to Lake County to use the singletrack trails system at Highland Springs Recreational Area.
