Implement a four-way stop sign at Overbrook Place & Shaftesbury Street
Sign Now
We, whose signatures follow, petition the City of Toronto to install a four-way stop sign at the intersection of Overbrook Place and Shaftesbury Street.
Overbrook Place connects Wilmington Avenue with Dufferin Street. Motorists are using the street which is home to a many residences and a synagogue, and is a thoroughfare to a private high school, as a speedway for rushing commuters. Making matters worse is the volume of traffic outside The Anne & Max Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. During the school year, teachers, students and parents exiting and entering school grounds make the road even more dangerous.
The high volume of cars that travel along Overbrook Place, along with the speed at which they are traveling are putting other motor vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists, and families living on Overbrook Place at risk. We are asking for a four-way stop sign on Overbrook Place at Shaftesbury Street as a means to slow down traffic along Overbrook Place.
