This petition has been created in response to the "ASIJ Campaign Against Cluster Bombs" (http://www.petitiononline.com/asijasij/)


The primary purpose of this petition is to get numbers on who agree and disagree with the donation by Mr. Jin Roy Ryu. As we see it, there is only one opinion being posted by the petition. This petition's hopes are to get opinions from bothsides.

"The Poongsan Corporation is making a legal product. Poongsan is not making a moral statement but rather filling a need of the US government and its staunch allies.


Cluster bombs have an important military application that saves lives. A cluster bomb is a tool and as such can be neither good nor bad. Blaming the gun for a bullet-wound may be easier than acknowledging the true culprit, but then refusing to accept a donation from the gun's manufacturer is just absurd.


We're not being asked to condone or endorse this company or its products, but to accept a hefty donation that'll improve our school.





"One last thought is that I can name at least thirty kids off hand whose tuitions are paid by the US government/ military. Isn't it a little hypocritical that we have no qualms about accepting money from the employers of the bombs, but see the generous donation of a gentleman affiliated with their manufacture as a call-to-arms?"
