MANIFESTO OF JUSTICE
The verdict of the Supreme Court of penalizing TIME magazine in favor for Soeharto, releasing Munirs murderer, and releasing corruptors, are blatant examples of infidelity towards reformation. As the last fort of justice safeguard, it not only has jeopardized the holy mandate of justice, but also has devoted itself to serve the interest of the never-ending supremacy of the New Order.
It is not just a coincidence per se, but moreover shows an evil systematic effort in re-attaching the obsolete politic, violating the freedom of press, and shuttering human rights violations, precisely when the nation is still craving for justice and truth.
Supreme Courts arrogance can be seen, not only from its insanity in managing its own administration (random procedure on the matters of allowance and period of work), but also from its arrogance to prove itself as the institution, unaffected by any of the states regulation (ability to refuse audit by Supreme Audit Agency / BPK)
This condition also reflects the overall picture of our political life, which has been running with an obscure direction and no ethics. This is a severe threat to our reformation process. If political leadership is not capable of performing serious attempt on solving Soeharto and his crones case of corruption and human rights violations, the reformation is, certainly, in jeopardy.
Herewith, we demand for a Total Amelioration of the Supreme Court from all justice rapists, law brokers and people with the New Order manner.
