Investigate Iraq and No Immunity from International Criminal Court

We the undersigned urge States party to the International Criminal Court to request the Prosecutor of the Court to investigate the atrocities in Iraq, irrespective of who the perpetrators may be. If such a request is not forthcoming, we urge the Prosecutor, Mr. Luis Moreno-Ocampo, to investigate the atrocities in Iraq, as he is entitled to do.
We also urge the United Nations and other international organizations such as the European Union, and every person wherever they may be, to pressure countries that have not signed up to the International Criminal Court to do so.
We also urge States not to enter into agreements that would provide impunity to citizens of some states who are accused of torture, crimes against humanity and war crimes.
As Amnesty International puts it No one, regardless of their nationality should be granted impunity for the worst crimes known to humanity. It is our duty to do all in our power to protect the human values that we all share.
