It's time to recall furloughed RAH pilots

Our fellow pilots on RAH Seniority list have been on the street for more than a year. We were let go in Sep 2008 due to reduction in flying. Soon after the company started to fly for Midwest Airlines codeshare. With the addition of replacement of SkyWest Airlines lift from Midwest Airlines, we are in a position to grow and keep this company profitable.

Despite the fact that we have lost pilots in the seniority list at the level that is equal to the number of pilots on furlough we are still on the street.

Republic right now is the second worst staffed regional airline with a staffing value of 9.14 pilots per airplane; Compared to 9.31 of Pinancle and 9.83 of American Eagle. This doesn't even factor in the sick, on vacation, training pilots. Even if we called all of our furloughed back and all of them took the recall (highly unikely) we are going to be below American Eagle with a value of 9.65. The industry norm calls for 10 pilots per airplane.

With the addition of 190s and more 50 seat flying for Midwest operation we will be extremely short staffed.

A year is too long of a period for us to not have our jobs.. It is also too long for the company that is increasing its cost base by flying captains on the right seat.

It is time for a recall..
