Jean Harlow, formally known as Harlean Harlow Carpenter, was an American movie star during the 1930s. She rocked the boat with censors and audiences with her risquй talk, behavior and comedy chops...not to mention, her infamous platinum blonde hair.
Because of her early death in 1937 at the tragic age of 26, she seems to be overlooked by much of the public today, even though Jean was a beauty in her own right. Next March 3rd, 2011 will mark her 100th birthday, and as a result, I would love to see the United States Postal Service honor her with a stamp.
So, sign this petition if you, like me, happen to be a fan of Miss Jean Harlow's and want to see her immortalized in a stamp. Let's honor her the only way a star of her status should be: by reminding us that real glamour at one time existed.
