Jim Aparo DC Direct Action Figures

We the undersigned would like to request that you consider producing a line of Batman action figures based on the art of comic book legend Jim Aparo, who passed away this week. Mr. Aparo's artwork is beloved to many generations of comics fans, especially his work on "The Brave and the Bold" and, of course, "Batman" and "Detective Comics."







We believe that a Jim Aparo Batman line would be very successful for the company. We would be a part of a large group of Mr. Aparo's fans who would purchase these figures. DC Direct has had huge success with figures based on the art of more recent artists like Jim Lee, Ed McGuinness, Alex Ross, Tim Sale, and others. We believe that Mr. Aparo's distinctive and excellent style would lend itself to beautiful and much sought-after action figures.







We will leave the decision on which figures to produce up to you. I think many fans would agree that certain characters from the Batman comic universe should be included, but also, The Spectre and Green Arrow, both of which Mr. Aparo worked on in his illustrious career.







We know that DC Direct has always listened to the fans in such matters. The recent release of the "Knightfall" Batman series is testament to this fact.
