We the undersigned, support Judith Da Silva's Human Rights claim to remain in the U.K. Miss da Silva is in an extremely vulnerable situation: an illegal immigrant through no fault of her own, the victim of domestic abuse, and destitute since she has no legal right to work nor is she entitled to benefits. She is increasingly depressed and anxious due to the uncertainty of her situation. As she has no status in Portugal, she is faced with deportation back to Angola, a country in which she spent only the early years of her life. Despite her circumstances Judith has managed to build the foundations of a life with the U.K, she desperately wants to have a home and a means of income, and to continue with her education at New College Nottingham, as well as having a partner who lives and works here in the UK. We urge the Home Office to grant her right to stay.
